My name is Maurice “Mo” Haywood, and I’m the owner of Mo Scapes — a locally owned landscape supply yard in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama. Most people just call me Mo, and if you stop by, there’s a good chance I’ll be the one loading your truck or helping you find what you need — because I’m here every day.

Pine straw is an excellent natural mulch that provides a clean, uniform look while offering several functional benefits:
- Weed Suppression: Its interlocking needles create a dense mat that effectively blocks sunlight from weed seeds.

Coverage Estimates
To help you plan your project, here are the general coverage guidelines for our standard bales:
- New Application: One bale typically covers approximately 30–50 square feet at a recommended depth of 2–3 inches.
- Refreshing Existing Beds: One bale can cover up to 75–100 square feet when applied as a light top-dress to restore color and thickness.

Our Equipment
At Mo Scapes, we use a heavy-duty wheel loader equipped with a 72" smooth bucket that holds approximately .93 cubic yards of material per full scoop. Gravel and Sands will have an approximate weight of 1800 - 1900lbs. Mulch will have an approximate weight of 500-600lbs.

Mo Scapes LLC offers convenient delivery for all your bulk landscaping materials. Let us save you the time and effort of hauling so you can get right to work on your project.
Our Delivery Capabilities:
- Mulch: We can deliver up to 14 cubic yards of mulch in a single trip.
- Sand & Gravel: We have a maximum delivery capacity of 4 cubic yards per load for sand and gravel.
Important Delivery Information:
- Hard Surfaces Only: To ensure the safety of our drivers and your property, deliveries can only be made on a hard, paved surface like a driveway or street.
- Pricing: Delivery costs are calculated based on your specific location's zip code.
- Mountain Deliveries: Please note that the price and load amount may differ for deliveries to locations on a mountain due to the unique logistical challenges.
